Artist @e.l.kelly_ recently worked in the Brighton Dome Founders Room on her @aceagrams funded DYCP (Developing Your Creative Practice), exploring digital theatre techniques, immersive technology and looking at how to bridge the gap between XR (Extended Reality) and theatre to make exciting new work. During her time in the space, Emma: 💡 Collaborated with theatre professionals and XR creatives 🤖 Made metahumans 👩‍💻 Experimented with VR to explore possibilities for audience interaction and accessibility 💬 Made AI-generated videos and images to explore the ethics of IP and diversity 🎬 Generated a live video mixed with animation, and live performance interacting with projection 🤸 Explored body mapping and interactive performance 🟩 Created AR show posters using green screen, and more! Skating through history ⛸️... As ice-skating took the Victorian era by storm in the late 1800s, The Illustrated London News reported on the sport in 1876, saying it “is a most healthful amusement; it combines the pleasure of the ballroom with the advantages of the gymnasium and is a delight to both young and old.” 💬 In 1875, the Corn Exchange was leased out for use as a roller-skating rink on weekdays between 10am and 10pm.
