This is rare as I’m typically behind the camera, but for this one, I stepped in front as I had the opportunity to collaborate with @kith and @columbia1938. I got to explore one of the beautiful parts of the California coastline and put all the gear to the test alongside my good friend @nainoalanger. Hope you enjoy our adventure!

Tomorrow at 8:30 am PST we have something magic to share with you 🐎🏔️
A year ago, @captainpotter and I got to live out our childhood dreams of playing cowboy - for 5 days and 4 nights we rode horses, herded sheep, and slept under the stars as they shot across the Andes. We became, as @jorgepcorreas would say, Gauchitos, “little cowboys”. And while doing so we made a film about a truly inspirational human, Jorge Correas. That film is called “The Call of the Criollo”.
Thank you to Jorge for taking us under your wing and sharing your story - thank you @corona for making this adventure possible.

From late-night Buc-ee’s runs to being flung around on a tube behind a boat, Camp @musicbed was truly unforgettable. It wasn’t just about the fun—it was the reset I didn’t know I needed. Spending time with friends, both old and new, reminded me of the power in being surrounded by those who inspire and reignite your creativity.
I’ve always chosen very wisely what I post (shoutout to my inner perfectionist), but sometimes it’s nice to let that go. Here’s to more unfiltered moments, more creativity, and caring a whole lot less about getting everything just right.
After spending two years making this thing, our film ‘Hula is Hawaii’ has won an Emmy! This was the first time that @nainoalanger and I joined forces to shoot a film along side @captainpotter . Hope you enjoy some of our favorite frames from the film! Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen and thanks to you all for supporting the journey. A lot more to do, but here’s to taking another step forward.

Derinkuyu, Turkey - 60 meters beneath this beautiful town lies the world’s largest underground city. Carved from volcanic rock, this intricate tunnel system can hold up to 20,000 people. This is definitely one of the most claustrophobic places.

‘La Rinconada, Peru - A Lawless Town’
Nestled deep in the Peruvian Andes at an altitude of 16,700 feet, this remote town holds the title of the world’s highest permanent human settlement. A mining town brimming with hope yet burdened with the harsh realities faced by those drawn to the allure of gold. The air is thin, and the environment is unforgiving. The town itself lacks many basic amenities and struggles with the environmental and ethical issues caused by the illegal gold mining that sustains it. With an average lifespan of 35 years and a population of 50,000, the community has only three hot showers. This was truly one of my most intense travel experiences to date.
“HULA IS HAWAII” premieres on Easter Sunday, marking the commencement of the Merrie Monarch Festival!
After nearly 2 years of meticulous crafting, this film has been a journey to say the least, but one for which I am eternally grateful for. Without a doubt, it stands as the most breathtaking project I’ve ever had the honor to co-create.

‘Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds’
I remember Oppenheimer’s chilling words as we explored Semipalatinsk, the most nuked place on Earth. This once secret Soviet test site, was home to 456 nuclear experiments. Listening to firsthand accounts from those who lived through this dark era, witnessing mushroom clouds and distant explosions, was a sobering reminder of humanity’s destructive power and the lessons we can learn from it.

Journal entry day 5:
“We’ve been herding sheep for 4 days now and the work is both grueling and enjoyable. The wind is tough, the nights are cold, and the sheep won’t stay together. But to be saddled up in a landscape as beautiful as this one is worth a lifetime of hard work.
Within these rides are moments I long to carve deep into my being so they will live in me forever. Moments whose beauty lives inside a feeling that I drink in like a madman, because despite all my efforts, despite my memories and photos and writings—they only exist here and now. Like the dust I taste in the wind or the water rushing by in the river, they will soon be gone, so cherish them while you can.”
Despite that truth, I think @cory.s.martin and I created a pretty beautiful story that lives on past the pampas, and not only tells you of the beauty of Argentina but of the Criollo, Jorge Correas.
Thank you @corona for always supporting my crazy adventures - I love ya
