I am so thankful for @deveryjacobs choosing my work for their celebratory Emmy weekend. Emmy or not, this show, and whole cast and crew has won our hearts and spirits and showed us all what is possible. MVTO ❤️ It was a wonderful surprise to see my sweet friend Devery in these earrings I made back in early 2022–just a couple months before I joined the Reservation Dogs team for season 2 in the costume department. I can’t say anything new that my fellow cast and crew haven’t already said. It was a privilege of a lifetime to work on this show for 2 seasons. I will never forget the day I shot-in-the-dark texted @sterlinharjo and told him I wanted to work for his show. The rest is history. There’s really nothing else like working with a team of mostly indigenous creators, reporting to work every day with a new challenge that you know would shape the history of the depiction of indigenous people in television. It truly has been a ride of a lifetime. Mvto @alyssablairrr who consistently trusted me to be on her team and help execute her vision. I did a single stitch fill on these and very carefully made sure the cut edge of the beads faced out so they’re so shiny—I thought they deserved a video to show off just how pretty they are. I love this song by the Cardigans—I remember listening to it with my mom when I was teeny tiny on a cassette tape in her Volkswagen Cabriolet! It came out in 1996. I was a year old. It’s also featured on the soundtrack of one of my favorite movies of all time, can anyone guess?? Lol. Valentine’s Day hearts are better late than never. . AVAILABLE TBD

I guess it happens to the best of us! Anyways I’m gonna try to be better about posting on here again. I’ve been making art this past year—just behind the scenes for your favorite tv show, little details you may never notice, and projects for myself and loved ones. Here was my 2022 when I wasn’t beading ❤️ Needless to say it was a busy one, and it wasn’t easy but it was full of smiles, new experiences, challenges, and so many friendships along the way. I am so grateful to live a life that lets me create with such wonderful people. When I haven’t been working on a film project I’ve been kind of doubting my own artistic process, but I’m changing that with the new year and allowing myself to create freely and I refuse to compete with myself any longer. Thank you all for being here. Onward and upward ❤️
