Another new one for @channel4 UNTOLD: The Truth About Spiking, streaming now… As part of a new film for @channel4 I was spiked with a drug commonly used in drink spikings to show the effects on camera. Despite the rising statistics, I knew that spiking attacks were a massively underreported crime in the UK. Over 90% of cases are not reported, the current charge rate is 3 times lower than the charge rate for rape and more than 2 sexual assaults a day start with a spike. I wanted to give victims that haven’t received justice or support, a safe space in this doc to share their stories and also show the signs to look out for by subjecting myself to being spiked as part of a blind experiment. @channel4 documentaries IN TOO DEEP: Selling My Virginity I came across virginity auctions at the start of the year and was shocked to discover how many young women in the uk were operating in this trade and just how much money was up for grabs. It’s an entire industry and at its core are some really dangerous people and ideologies. I found this subject to be glamourised on social media, it was positioned as a ‘get rich quick’ scheme that I feared many young people in particular could enter into without knowing the consequences. This film is not about shaming those that feel empowered to sell their virginity but to show the dangers and considerations that people should be aware of before listing themselves online. In April, I went undercover and listed my own "virginity" as part of a new film for @channel4 Now on C4 documentaries YouTube..🖤
