Representing real Jungle / drum and bass at it’s finest, Mantra’s deep and emotive sound in the mix comes from an intense passion for the music. Conscious of the history of the music she loves yet always looking to push things forward, she’s no newcomer and her involvement with jungle drum & bass runs deep. Co-founder of @rupturelondon, (alongside her partner Double O) looked at as arguably the best Jungle/DNB night going, having just celebrated its 18 year anniversary. The success of Rupture stands testament to their hard work and commitment, born of a desire to take it back to basics. Rupture has gone from strength to strength with original lineups that combine the best new DJs alongside some of the underground’s leading lights - “mixing a Hardware line-up with a Technicality line-up, will it work?”. In today’s scene she is looked at as a beacon of inspiration, inspiring the next generation whilst also carrying the underground. She also is one of the key figures/mentors in eq50 program/collective, pushing the representation of fairer representation for women in dnb. To have her alongside Blackeye MC - one of the Rupture go-to MCs, on a full-old Skool vinyl session is such a special thing. We can’t wait. Over the last 18 years Rupture has been raised and nurtured by the most beautiful community. Rupture turns 18 this weekend. It’s wild to think we’re here all these years on, it’s something we never take for granted ❤️We’re still as motivated by the music as when we started and as committed to creating the best dancefloor possible! Our ethos is to bring together some of the most forward thinking artists in electronic music such as @quartzmusic and @atrice____ and have them play alongside OG legends such as @stevedigital and Orca @decoder_808 with hardworking talented emerging artists like @zeldin.zzz , @dub_athlete and @eminenceuk22 also having space to rep. Our nights are guided by MCs who deeply understand rave culture. We’re so looking forward to this weekend!! We’re also very aware that things are financially hard for a lot of people so we’ve added some cheaper tickets for entry before midnight.
