This is the perfect way to start @somewhere.official partnership with @jumpman23 The spirit is of a Rebellionaire since birth…something that runs deep with this project. I’ve spent most of my life here in DC operating in spaces often being overlooked, rarely acknowledged and under appreciated. It never stopped me because I was more interested in moving the culture forward and making sure my hometown got the best as a major market city. I’m the weirdo that cares about the curtain before the show starts and applause sounds like thunder from behind the stage. The gift and the curse of seeing ahead is you see where it needs to go almost with manic tunnel vision. You see where it’ll end up but you can’t cheat the time it takes to get there nor the energy it takes to push through it. For years I’ve tried to earn my place by collaborating and just putting my head down and working through often being devalued or leftout the narrative all together but still producing sometimes being the spark sometimes the engine or just the push. I’ve done some things that have forever changed the landscape, created opportunities and spaces for others to operate more comfortably, villanized for demanding the best when mediocrity is the norm & judged for going alternative routes (or innovating depending on who you ask 🤷🏾‍♂️ lol). I’ve never been cool enough for the cool folks, likable enough to be liked, tough enough for the tough guys, DC enough for the hometown luv or fly enough for the flyest…but you know what? What I have been is enough Dominick to be Dominick and after 4 decades walking, moments like this let me know thats pretty darn great! So Saturday we celebrate a step in a year filled with many more surprise leaps forward! I’m thankful to my team, friends and family for believing in all my crazy and understanding that a #rebellionaire spirits lives within. pS still don’t text me or dm me about shoes or discounts I got bills lol

Warning long caption: So yesterday I received a gift from one of my partners that really affected me. The what is not as important as the why...I’ll explain more on that in a bit. So years ago I had a shoe that was gift to me by someone close to me...years later that shoe was damaged...years later the rerelease of that shoe was released again but this time i gifted it to someone that at the time appreciated it more than I did at the moment...fast forward to years later I never was able to purchase that exact shoe again in my size...there is a lot of other back story in between but what this shoe means to me after all of these years (peep the box these are dead stock from many moons ago 💪🏾) means a lot but what means more is partnering with someone like @steve.place>who did something so selfless in this moment...he listened + showered me with appreciation for that is a greater gift. Now y’all know i wear and dog every shoe no matter the rarity its my vibe (from 1 of 25’s to things that resell for stacks) 🤷🏾‍♂️ but these imma keep clean lol. So today I post my all time fav shoe that now means even more to me 11 on 11. Thanks @steve.place 💙®️ #somewhere
