Im so so so excited to share my first book titled, ‘De cara al sol’ 💛 A labor of love for nearly 4 years. Truly a surreal moment for me. Countless hours of hard work to make something so special that could live on beyond this book. I’m so proud and grateful of everyone who have been a part of this journey thus far. Published and designed by AMILE in collaboration with New York based creative agency WØRKS, as a linen bound book, De Cara Al Sol will be launched in Los Angeles, California on December 1st, 2023. In affiliation with the Cuba Foundation and Give2Cuba, 100% of profits from the sales of this book will be used towards the purchase of medicines, vitamins and other essentials for families and children in Cuba. A couple outtakes from our shoot with the amazing Cameron Russell for Present Space 🤍 Published earlier this year, How to Make Herself Agreeable to Everyone draws on a range of personal experiences as well as stories of others who have navigated similar scenarios before her, in an attempt to unpack the complexities of an industry that operates on the exploitation (of bodies, of beauty, of capital, and so on). Present Space collaborates with Cameron on a special story exploring her book, communities and the fashion industry. Present Space introduces BODY, its fourth print issue, published and designed by AMILE. The issue investigates the many forms of the body; humans, animals, and nature through editorials and essays to further understand its complexities.
