In December 2023, I chose “Joy” as the name for my 2024. I didn’t ask for anything else, and it has been incredible to let God surprise me—even until the very last moment. This year started with a sold-out tour, followed by me rediscovering my creativity after years of block, releasing new music, meeting the President, performed at the @kennedycenter honors, travelled the world, received an award and shared the stage with the artists who shaped the soundtrack of my life. I’ve already chosen the name for 2025 and can’t wait to share it with you on December 31st. Thank you! A video can’t capture the depth of my gratitude for all your love and support. ❤️

Backstage tales: The production behind of an event like the @kennedycenter honors it really inspire me. I had weeks holding this secret for TOO long. I’m happy to announce that I received an invitation to be part of the @kennedycenter honors ceremony to celebrate the legacy of our all time hero and maestro @arturo_sandoval_arocha. Arturo not only has opened spaces for many young artists throughout his career but also his story of resilience it must be an example for all of us to follow. This was our first rehearsal alongside a lineup of stars and musicians I never had the chance will be reunited in the same room. @randybrecker @tromboneshorty @pedritomartinezmusic @chuchovaldesmusic @yassertejeda @rubrodbass @josesibajatpt arranged by @jonathanmontesmusic and under music direction of the one and only @rickeyminor.
