Ok, hear me out I have some thoughts: On the flight back from Reykjavik we were basically chasing the sunset, flying at the exact right time and direction that for at least three hours that was the view from the window, just perpetual, non moving beautiful sunset But after a while, the thrill wore off, cause the thing that makes sunsets so beautiful are there ephemeral nature, the fact that they're not easy to catch, cause eventually the sky grows dark It reminded me of a what a friend quipped back at me in Iceland when I threw out the idiom "at the end of the day .." - he laughed and said "it's night!" (Ok keep following) and night is necessary, for stars and rest and all that good shit, but also for a sunrise and the next day and to move on the bigger, newer, different things All im saying is that sunset purgatory just isn't as sweet as the eerie sometimes startling darkness that comes before something new, because the sweet just isn't as sweet without the sour, etc etc If you made it this far, congrats -- and if all of that's confusing just like the photo and follow me for more spiraling post-trip thoughts 😘🇮🇸👌🏾
