Our film Guvanch People just won the Best Fashion Film award at Style, Experimental, Fashion Film Festival! New York City is freedom. It is and has always been a place for people to experiment with their identities and to be who they truly are. This fashion film featuring Guvanch NYC designs represents the beauty of that freedom all across the topography of the city by way of the opulent directorial style of Ecem Lawton. It portrays this in a freewheeling mode that captures the delirious joy of being different in NYC. The first part shows the reality of daily life with its rhythms and routines, whereas the second shows the oozing eroticism of the city's queer nightlife. Indeed, the film as a whole revels in the beauty of queer liberation that is such a big and beautiful part of the fabric of NYC. Big love to our amazing team and the audience members who voted!
