My name is Ariana Bazlamit, I’m a Palestinian/American and I created and run Hibr with the beautiful Randa Jarrar. We’re here to talk to you about a new partnership we have with an amazing Palestinian organization called Watermelon Warriors. @watermelonwarriors.io is a 501(c)(3) non-profit eSIM organization. Other eSIM efforts usually require you to purchase eSIMs from third party retailers, which comes with a massive markup. Watermelon Warriors started a phone company, so they’re able to get eSIMs at wholesale prices, which means more resources for our people. Just like us, they are 100% volunteer run. So every single cent you donate, goes directly to Gaza. eSIMs are an incredible resource. Enabling journalists to report on the atrocities that are occurring constantly, medical workers to locate and provide care, aid workers to provide lifesaving aid like food and water, students to continue their studies, as well as just letting our people connect with their family and friends to let them know they are ok. Marhaba to our beautiful Hibr community! We’re here to share some new updates, including another incredible group of Hibr tattoo partners! We now have over 333 tattoo artists that have joined our fight for Palestine, and together we’ve raised over $155,000 for our people! We will be posting another batch of donation receipts this week, as well as updates on the funds raised during our July 6th Hibr day. We are floored by the amount of support and solidarity we and our people have received in the form of this tattoo community, both in tattoo artists and clients, from all over this WORLD. However, these moments of relief are a mere footnote in the ongoing genocide of our people, the continuous land theft in the West Bank, the horrific abductions of innocent Palestinians of all ages, and all of the other atrocities that have been inflicted upon us for over 75 years. Please do not stop talking about Palestine, do not stop disrupting, do not stop shouting the truth from the rooftops. We are closer to freedom than we’ve ever been before. YOU are a part of that. Please continue to share our organization with any tattoo artists or clients that you may know, as we are actively accepting tattooers from all over the world, supporting our people with every cent. A huge thank you to everyone that has helped raise money for @hibrfalastin this year! We raised $1500 CAD/just over $1k USD towards this effort and I’m so grateful to everyone that received a tattoo for this! Instagram has not updated my account so I’m still limited to 10 posts in a carrousel but there are a few more of you that came for a tattoo and I’m so grateful! Since returning from Gaza, I have dedicated myself to helping those on the ground. Every week we try and feed and clothe and shelter people. It’s extremely difficult with the few supplies we have and the cost of everything in Gaza. I am so grateful that I have this platform that has helped me reach so many people including @hibrfalastin who for my last few projects has been a huge sponsor and supporter! And my team on the ground , people I worked alongside treating the wounded and sick I never thought would blossom into a partnership! Thank you @janat2002a for risking your life to get the supplies together so we can feed so many. This video is from 2 days ago where we managed to feed thousands. It’s quite emotional when you see how desperate the children are , some I’m told hadn’t eaten for days. I can only continue this work with your support link in bio If you want to donate.
