Aloha Kakou🤙🏼 I thought I'd reintroduce myself and no better way than with some new fun outdoor branding photos. My name is Kimberly, you can call me Kim or Kimberly whatever feels right to you at the time is fine by me. I am originally from the North Shore of O'ahu, the most Northern little village, Kahuku. I moved to Florida years ago with my daughter to finish college, proud Barry University alumni here. Currently in the Fort Lauderdale area with my husband and sweet Luna Bug, we said goodbye to our beloved Banjo earlier this year and he is greatly missed. I am an artist. My discipline is photography, I absolutely love documentary photography and street photography. I will never turn away from a creative lifestyle or branding session, they're like mini styled shoots. 3 fun facts: ⚡️I am a former Forensic Photographer. ⚡️In the early 2000's was a semi finalist during auditions for the TV show Survivor, interviewed with producers at CBS in Dallas, TX (obviously I wasn't selected). ⚡️I love green mango sliced really thin with salt and a dash of vinegar. 🤤 Anyway, I'm into this set of photos - they feel like who I am and where I came from. The Ethereal Show at Dua Hotel in Miami last weekend featuring luxury atelier @olenanewyork. Olena of New York creates absolute perfection, these unique hand crafted couture handbags are stunning. Each design stitched by hand using the 'saddle stitching' technique. Her inspiration is drawn from the art deco designs and architectural landscape of New York City. What I also loved about her showcase were these pillars of collages, sort of a play on New York City high rises and architectural heights, not to mention the luxury couture imagery on each pillar. As I get older the more I miss being back home in Hawai'i. I've been on the East Coast for a long time, far from my daughter, my sister, brother, neices and nephews. I have missed out on so many milestones, celebrations, lifetimes, and just being with my Ohana. At the same time, I can't imagine being back home on that little rock in the middle of the ocean. My journey, was a struggle. Haha...you would never know this but I grew in a small sugar cane plantation on the North Shore of O'ahu, I am more country than you can imagine.
