Nemesis, Greek goddess of retribution and enactor of justice, sentenced Narcissus to the damnation of his own vanity - ensuring he would waste away until death reflecting upon his own image. I’ve had the inspiration to create an act around this story for awhile by… well, personal characters in my own life. Nemesis was all about vengeance, and since I’ve come to realize the greatest revenge is your own success, I think I would make Nemesis proud :) I want to give thanks to the following people for bringing this art to life. For bringing all the art that happened under the roof of @capitalenyc for the final @dancesofvice this past Saturday to life. @shienlee - the headmistress innovator, @mx.violenza - visionary producer, @willa_beaux - stage manager royale, @warrrrens & @cinderpetrichor - my fire team comrades, @thecommercialkid - hair & makeup & fantasy creator, the FDNY, anddd my amazing friends who came out to scream my name LOUDLY.
