I am so excited to be showing work at this years @labiennale in collaboration with @studiowaynemcgregor ❤️‍🔥 ‘La Biennale di Venezia, 16th International Festival of Contemporary Dance presents Indigo Lewin Artist In Residence 21, a striking fifty-piece body of photographic work at the Sale d’Armi A in the Arsenale from 22nd July – 31st July 2022. Titled Boundary-Less, the Biennale Danza 2022 explores the limitless possibilities of artistic collaboration and creation. Appointed Artist In Residence in July 2021 by multi-award-winning British choreographer and director Wayne McGregor CBE, photographer Indigo Lewin was invited to document First Sense, McGregor’s debut festival as Director of the Biennale Danza. In dialogue with McGregor’s biennale theme, Lewin candidly captured the importance of touch during a time in which the world was emerging from a prolonged period of pandemic enforced isolation’ This was such a special project for me.
