The Seaweed Sisters are… 🩷@meganguwre 💚@jillymeyers & 💙@danadaners . These three women are professional choreographers and dancers who work alongside some of the most iconic performers of our time (Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson, and Madonna to name a few). As The Seaweed Sisters, they come together to illuminate discovery: of self, their surroundings, and the world at large. They move seamlessly from intuitive improvisation to acutely executed choreography. The Seaweed Sisters call on humor and imagination to animate a connection to their experiences and their audience. They celebrate the unusual and the opportunity to play. In addition to their annual short film productions, the Seaweed sisters have appeared live at @dancecamerawest , @legalizedance , @heididucklerla , @the.wonder.room @vibedancecomp @newportfolkfest and they’ve toured nationally as the opening act for musical super duo, @ilovelucius Film Reel edit by @caddyisbright Film Reel music by @joemarcelberry

She works at the nexus of commercial, stage, film, and site-specific performance. Her work varies from touring with Janet Jackson, being the assistant choreographer for the film, “La La Land”, co-choreographing multiple episodes of NBC’s, “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”, to choreographing multiple videos for the music artist Hozier.
