Thrilled to finally be sharing the Queens House EP by @johnbarera with the world! As big fans of John’s prior work on many incredible labels, we were honored to receive these demos and to have his trust in releasing them. We could tell upon hearing them, and John has said as well, that this release is a special culmination of all he has done to develop and grow as an artist over the years. These 4 original tracks are full of passion, celebration, and importantly super solid house grooves. We couldn’t think of a better way to round out the release than with excellent remixes from Ali Berger @trackland._ and our own @d.d.curry who both complement the sound of this record so well. Out today is the second single from the upcoming Queens House EP by @johnbarera! Ali Berger @trackland._ , a fixture of the US electronic music underground, serves up one of two remixes featured on the release with his take on “Music Room”. This collaboration reunites the two producers from their shared early days in Boston. The remix showcases Ali’s production skills and musicianship with an incredibly deep and infectious house groove accompanied by beautifully lush instrumentation. Well known in the scene as a DJ, live performer, promoter, engineer, and of course producer with notable releases on the likes of Jacktone, Ghostly, Scissor & Thread, Fixed Rhythms, and his own label TRACKLAND, @fortunesignal is very excited to have Ali be part of this special record. I’m back! After a serious foot injury I am making my return to DJing and am doing really well!! I miss y’all! I am starting a new party October 2 at @earthlydelights.nyc the delightful new club in ridgewood, where I live. Come through!!! in high seas you’re in international waters. The concept of the party is to book DJs to play NOT what they are known for and to play ANYTHING at all that they want. Let’s explore. Veda and I Goofin’ Info on the album: Immerse yourself in a sonic journey of hypnotic rhythms, club stormers and organic grooves meticulously crafted by the seasoned house music mastermind, John Barera. This time, working with a cast of his favorite collaborators and no musical rules, Planet 9 is proud to present his newest album ‘Forever Anyway’. Notes from John: On this album I set out to make a dance floor oriented record that was fun and real to me, and also had no rules musically. This time, I wanted to invite my friends along for the ride and some of my favorite musical collaborators. No restrictions on the format/studio/setup/instruments/musicians for any of the tracks. “SF Is Underwater” is along the same lines, working in the box with Ableton. Will used some samples on this track from the legendary http://legowelt.org/samples/ . “Ital-O-Matic” gets into the more gear oriented tracks. Andrew was throwing down drums on the MPC and we were throwing down on the SH-01-A. Just doing some very basic patterns on there and I had a “no, stop that right there, let’s use that!” moment with something he was doing. After that, we put on some pads with the mighty, mighty red Nord lead keyboard that I love to use all the time. This was the first keyboard that made me say way back, “I want to play keyboards a bit.”

Rochelle and I have experienced a miracle. Her name is Veda Rosemary Barera. She was born on Jan 3, 2024. Life for us now, has a new purpose and a new meaning. Thanks to all our friends and family who have shown support big or small, we feel the love <3
