*LOOK CLOSELY* Do you see the model? Model: #joannakelly Photo: me Body painting: me @juliehasit Set: @pesfilm (thank you so much for the use of this beautiful set!) Throwback to this 18 hour day a few years ago when I body painted Joanna for 12 hours…for fun. Haha! This was a shoot I did (and that Joanna so graciously agreed to be part of) to sharpen my camouflage skills and it was QUITE the challenge. Joanna was in a really painful position and we had to stop and reset frequently after a while (multiple hours kneeling on one knee will do that to ya!) not long after starting, I had her kneel on a sandbag, put a paper towel over it and painted that to blend it into the set a bit. None of the things on set were real meat. They were all made out of materials that were used in @pesfilm’s stop motion animation video years ago, and he was kind enough to lend it to us for the day to make this happen! What a gift! Even though this day was exhausting, I’m really proud of what we created together!

My team worked super hard in the time of covid to create something special looking/feeling. Between extensive tattoo coverups, transfers, Kevin removing a full face of transfers and reapplying it with a genius method, and blood/sweat work with major time crunches, this was a challenge but lots of fun!
