Quite a sad episode full of love, with some bloody good acting from all of the Bad Sisters. Not to gush but I’ll never get over writing words that Sharon F**king Horgan says with her mouth. And then to find out Fiona Shaw was going to be Angelica in BS2 was a massive thrill. These women were and are instrumental in showing me the extraordinary things Irish women can do.
Bad Sisters is such a Joyful special show riddled with heart, above all. Honoured to be a part of this beautiful thing.

The beautiful lion heart Sinéad O’ Connor. The most magnificent fierce musician we’ve had on our little island. She was given such a brutally hard time for opening her mouth, for her bravery. She was ridiculed maligned and laughed at. And she was right, she was right when she spoke out and spoke up and we should be so lucky to have more like her. To Sinéad

Jesus what a warm, adrenalised, beautiful evening @bafta with @mermantvfilm experiencing #badsisters win best drama series and best supporting actress! I had my hellishly uncomfortable shoes off like I was at home watching telly and suddenly we were on the stage crying while powerhouse Horgan @sharonhorgan made her beautiful speech. @fayedorn is a magnificent kind empathetic producer and I’m so grateful I met her. Things I would do differently if I ever get to go to the BAFTAS again include- blister stickers and flat shoes in a bag- a FAN- the room is a sauna- not wearing a wool suit. I got a text saying my BAFTA dress had arrived to my house half way through the ceremony. My baby left a Gnawed grubby carrot in my suitcase and it made me cry. Solidarity to the US writers @wgaeast And that’s it, every thought in my head.
When you should be at the #BadSisters premiere but instead you’ve had pelvic floor physio and contact naps. Raising a glass by the clothes horse- it was so much craic to be in the Bad Sisters writers room in deep lockdown and to write for such an excellent show. Jumping into other peoples rooms can be stinky sometimes but this was glorious. Thank you and Sláinte @merman@sharonhorgan@appletvplus@clelia_mountford
