I want to say thanks to the incredible talent who worked so hard to make season 2 of Bad Sisters so in advance of our Xmas Eve finale here come the shout outs.

Huge thanks to @appletv and our big boss and champion Jay Hunt and Fiona McDermott (aka Fiona Apple)Love you both.
To my @mermantvfilm homies and Exec producers @rebecca.parkinson & tiny, brilliant, right hand woman @FayeDorn. Don't mess with either of them 💚
To Executive QUEEN & director extraordinaire @DearbhlaWalsh. Couldn't do it without you and wouldn't want to.
Series producer & legend @johannknobel and our own Meryl Streep, the wonderful Catherine Magee,
Production team led by the indefatigable  @clareproducerpearce & Catherine Dunne
I'll never get over working with the genius(s) Tim Phillips @catheadmusic & @pjharveyofficial. Forever grateful and indebted to them both. With soundtrack curated beautifully & expertly by @ciaraelwis
Every gorgeous detail on screen was painstakingly designed by Candida Otton
Costume designed by @camillebenda who never stopped surprising us with her talent & dedication.
Hair and Makeup was designed by Nic Schuller @schullerinc who not only dreamt up the best dead bodies and war wounds but made us look pretty when we were exhausted.

The series was cast to perfection by Nina Gold & Lucy Amos @ninathegold @amoslucy
Story Produced by superwoman  @katshrubb & team; @hesterwolton Rebecca Hanbury, Asia Goldie who never stopped.

Huge thanks to our second block directors Stacey Gregg and to my old mucker, the wonderful James Griffiths @griffter71

Shout to our trusty editors Matt Gray, Robert Kirkwood and Mike Holliday who worked long & hard with special thanks to the one and only Derek Holland @derekholla

Off the charts cinematography from the coolest cat Tony Slater Ling, @magniagustsson & @majazamojda
To the greatest AND KINDEST 1st AD Gail Munnelly-Cullen @munnellygail - love you forever.
And lastly but by no means leastly the greatest bunch of writers you could share a smelly writers room with; Ailbhe Keogan, Karen Cogan @karenmcogan , Paul Howard, Perrie Balthazar and Malcolm Campbell 💚💚

Cast admiration requires a WHOLE other post. TBC...

Ep 7 of Bad Sisters is out. It's a ride. And full of rides. The finale lands Christmas Eve. I feel nervous and very emotional. I'd recommend watching with a full trifle and a double Ireland's Tears (Baileys and whiskey)

I'm so proud to be involved with this film. Calf is written and directed by Jamie O'Rourke. It's hard to describe or categorise because it's so many things; Drama, horror, thriller but it's also a stunningly beautiful piece of film making that allows you to decide for yourself what these characters have experienced. I can't explain the feelings it gives you so it's best to just watch. There's a link to it in my bio

The film is brought to life by stirring performances from Isabelle Connolly (God's Creatures) and Kate Nic Chonaonaigh (An Cailín Ciúin/The Quiet Girl).

Carbonated Comet, formed by Greg Burrowes and Ronan Cassidy in 2017, is an IFTA-winning and two-time Oscar-longlisted company based in the Midwest of Ireland. Their work has screened at festivals around the world and they are currently developing a number of feature films.

Jamie’s first film ‘Scrap’ was nominated for an IFTA in 2022 and screened in competition at the 2023 Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival. He is currently in development on his first feature.

The remarkable cinematography was created by Colm Hogan, haunting music from Orla O'Rourke and rich production design from James Donnelly.

Along with Huesca International Film Festival CALF has been selected at Oscar-qualifying festivals around the world including Palm Springs, Melbourne, Busan, Brussels and many more.

This gripping film has qualified to be considered for the 2025 Oscars®.

This week we have Irish comedy royalty round for dinner, the brilliant Sharon Horgan. Sharon popped to New Cross and brought her two gorgeous daughters with her. Mum made a Salmon en croute, and I made a Pannetone Bread and Butter pudding. We learned all about Sharon growing up in pubs in Hackney and Ireland, living in squats and being fed by Hare Krishna, writing and working with friend of the pod Rob Delaney on Catastrophe, filming Bad Sisters in Ireland and creating Motherland and brand new spin off Amandaland (which we’re very excited for!). Sharon is a total delight, and has co-created some of our favourite series on the telly. Bad Sisters is currently in it’s second series which is streaming on Apple TV+ now.
