PJ Harvey has once again collaborated with composer Tim Phillips to create the score for the second season of the tv series ‘Bad Sisters’, now streaming on @appletv. The official soundtrack is now available on all digital platforms at the link in profile. PJH: “It was a huge pleasure to be invited to step into the studio again with Tim Phillips to create the soundtrack for ‘Bad Sisters Season 2’. Having formed friendships with Tim and Sharon on season 1, there was a level of trust and openness which was conducive to creativity. Our version of ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ is full of the passion we hold for the original song, but also imbued with the spirit of the new series and its narrative.” Phillips: “I’m super excited to see the reaction to S2 of ‘Bad Sisters’ and I think audiences will love where this story goes next. It was a thrill to get back into the studio with Polly Harvey and make some new sounds, and the fact that most of the original production team returned made it even better!”

Renowned British artist Maggi Hambling’s new exhibition ‘Nightingale night’ at @pallanthousegallery, Chichester, explores the connection between nature, sound and art. Along with the song ‘The Nightingale’, it features this painting, ‘PJ Harvey in concert’, which Maggi made after seeing PJH perform at the Roundhouse in September 2023. Todd Lynn, long-time friend of and designer for PJ Harvey, discusses the dress he made for the tour. A spare dress was set aside for the band members to draw on, each in turn, before that evenings performance. “The drawing dress continued to be the canvas for the band as they travelled around Europe on the festival leg of the tour and then into North America. A total of 34 drawings were added, one to mark each show played. The drawings were inspired by the album, the tour or the city they were drawn in. In what has become customary, the updated dress was revealed at the final show of the European leg at Rock en Seine in Paris, and for the North American tour, at The Greek in Los Angeles. The cast recording of the @nationaltheatre production of ‘London Tide’ will be released on 17th October, with lead single ‘Holloway’ performed by @bellamaclean now available at the link in profile. The release will coincide with the stage production ‘London Tide’ being made available on the National Theatre’s streaming platform, National Theatre at Home.
