I’m so grateful and so honoured but also so happy that I get to put my country’s name on the map in the fashion industry. As the British Fashion awards are just one day away, I wanted to show appreciation to last year when I was invited by the @mainslondon and @skepta to attend. It was a wonderful experience and I was so grateful to be able to attend this event as an invitee. To be this year present as a nominee, it really shows that hard work pays off but also manifestation and representation as I was actually able to see myself in a space that I didn’t expect to be at so early in my career but it makes sense now to why I was nominated and why I deserve to be in those spaces, I’m so happy to be able to attend again and even happier to be the first #Ecuadorian nominated to this award and I hope many follow after this. My country is having a hard time and I’ll do anything to make my country feel proud of their heritage and our culture and mostly of ourselves. I hope this inspires a lot of people but also a lot of Ecuadorians , Afroecuadorians and a lot of Latinxs people. We are not less than anyone , we are worth of being in theses spaces and tomorrow with pride and a big smile, I’ll attend one of the biggest fashion events in the world.
