anyone who has known me the past four years has known since I started this account, I’ve been trying to find a way to make being creative my job. I’ve been working almost constantly freelancing (but actually paying my bills with my admin day job) for three years now and I am sososososo grateful/excited/pysched/honored to be working full time as the director of creative strategies with @keep.good.company & @keepgoodcompanyrecords, a marketing and media consultancy that launched the career of the amazing @thegingerwinn. the most beautiful part of all of this? the only reason we connected in the first place was because of @rewindkingston’s mental health music festival heart of midtown—something we almost didn’t do because we didn’t think it would be possible to pull off. some of you know this origin: I saw Ginger for the first time at @roughdraftny, was blown away, and immediately asked her to headline. her label not only offered to co-sponsor the festival, but offered to collaborate on a merch line, and to use mine and my sister @sydneyfckingflood’s writing for a song about my sister cassidy (that is coming out this year) called every time it rains, and we’ve been collaborating ever since. the past couple months I have interviewed one of the most brilliant creators I have ever encountered @davidofbaron, designed my first (real) concert poster for Ginger’s show (see above), wrote my first song, am throwing my first parties with the help of my bestie/brother @jakeflood_, and made friends for life in @thegingerwinn, @tinabaione28, and matt. and have somehow found a job that is every single thing I love combined in one. ALL OF THIS TO SAY: please come to Bowery electric on December 29 to celebrate with me, my brother and sister, Ginger, keep good company, one of my best friends @snelby who is opening the show, probably a lot of my family and so many talented musicians. tickets are $10 in advance, @jakeflood_ is throwing you the afterparty of your dreams with @kevinlombardo djing, and Ginger will serenade you into next year. and I must address the cliche: don’t give up on your dreams!!!!!!!!! sometimes beautiful things happen!!!!!

when @keepgoodcompanyrecords asks you to write a song with yours and your sister’s poetry for @thegingerwinn to turn into a song to play at your festival and ginger sends you a voice memo of a fully written and produced song within three hours, you don’t ask questions. this is the coolest thing I have ever been apart of and I am stupidly grateful. wrote a little more about it on my substack at the link in my bio :’) thank you again to @radiokingstonny for doing all of the sound and for recording this ❤️ you’ll be able to stream everywhere it rains soon!!!!! do we want to hear the rest 🤨 and yes she is wearing all @rewindkingston obviously
