“BOOK” TAPE A limited edition of 30 audio tapes imagined by @victorunwin along with publisher @kermesse.cool and bookshop @cahiercentral . BOOK is a two-track audio tape exploring the meditative potentialities of literature – and books in general. Whether it be a novel, a poem, a recipe book, or an instruction manual for a washing machine, printed text allows one’s mind to dwell into alternative systems of reality, in which a certain state of inner peace can be found. Track 1, “MEDITATION FOR BOOKS”, is an experimental ambient composition meant to be listened during the act of reading. Track 2, “BOOKS FOR MEDITATION”, is a spoken word composition in which Victor Unwin develops a short list of books that contain, to his opinion, a high degree of meditative potential. “BOOK” tape is now on sale on KERMESSE website, and at Cahier Central bookshop in Paris.

From Nov 6 to Nov 12, OBEY Art Space in Paris will host BOOK, an event imagined by artist @victorunwin , Parisian bookshop @cahiercentral , and independent publisher @kermesse.cool .  Don’t overthink this. BOOK is, really, what it says it is. During six days, the whole space will propose a wide array of books, zines, vintage rarities, and artist editions selected by Victor Unwin. Art books, photo books, books on music, books on books — but also music on books, and merch on books.
