Five years ago today we launched my series Blue Above, collaborating with Thomas on the first book to be published under the imprint @guesteditions. This was a turning point for us both. For me, it was the first time making work where I let the process guide the outcome. Working with improvised movement to express a feeling and tell a story through performance. It was also the first time that I used moving image, bringing my stills to life and challenging how I make work to step into a new mindset of being in the moment, it felt very freeing.
Since 2019, @guesteditions led by my partner @thomas.coombes has grown beyond his design studio to run as a book shop, publishing imprint, gallery space and online store. We've collaborated with so many inspirational artists and love the supportive community we find ourselves in. Taking time this morning to reflect on what we have grown over the past five years alongside our photo and design work π₯² Thanks to everyone that has supported us on this journey!
Tonight we launch @juan_brenner's monograph Genesis and celebrate five years of @guesteditions. Come join us π·- 6-9 Hangar 3 @Hackneydownsstudios

Curtains, carpets and wallpaper𧑠Details and textures from my personal project shot at home in Kent over the past nine years. In the darkroom printing, editing and bringing it all together.
Coming to the end of a long term project shooting my grandparents and their home in Kent. Now they've passed and the house is being emptied for sale, I saw it for the first time, stripped back to wallpaper and carpets. With just the marks of life left behind. I think my love of colour must come from my nan π§‘
