Im SO excited to announce that in just a few weeks time I’ll be launching a solo show! ‘Only Eternity Lasts Forever’ opens on Thursday 12th September in the stunning ruined chapel of Nunhead Cemetery. This is going to be such a special and strange show, even more so as it’s going to be drawing our summer series of exhibitions with the @thefeministlectureprogram curatorial group to a close. I’m being uncharacteristically sneaky about how much I’m sharing in the run up to this show, perhaps because I’m making something so unusual and out of my comfort zone 👀 • As some of you may have noticed, over on the @thefeministlectureprogram for the last three months I’ve been working with the most phenomenal group of emerging artists, through our first ever curatorial program! Mentoring this group has been such a fascinating and amazing experience, with such rich discussions taking place each week around our archive lectures and seminars. Watching each artist bring their projects to life in the setting of such a special London landscape as Nunhead Cemetery has been an incredible experience so far! • If you can’t wait for my show and you simply must get down to Nunhead immediately, we’ve got three incredible artists showing over the next three weeks! @puer_deorum opened their beautiful show last night, @theodunne.art opens next week and @mollylester_art will be opening on the 6th September! Sooooo I’ve got some enormous news to share today which I’ve been sitting on for OVER A YEAR! … I’m going to be on TV! I’ll be making my small screen debut (lol) this Sunday on Channel 4 in a fantastic new documentary led by @suranne_jones exploring the witchcraft trials and some living witchcraft traditions in a new light! Also yesterday I got a personal shout out on @thismorning 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ • It was surreal and wonderful for Suranne and the wonderful documentary team to descend on my studio over a year ago, and an INCREDIBLY difficult secret to keep all this time 😂 • In my little section of the doc Suranne and I discuss the evolution of the image of the witch in popular culture, the printing press, how the witch got her broomstick and of course, Albrecht Durer - the 16th Century (male 🤔) artist who set the precedent for what the image of the witch would be for the next 500 years. • I worked up a set of unique etchings for the program based on some of Durers iconic images, but predictably, mine come with a slight twist! I’ll be posting proper images of them in the coming days in the run up to Sundays first episode of the series, and they’ll be available to buy in a limited run very soon, so if you’d like to nab yourself a Luisa LTD witch etching, you’re in luck! This show has genuinely been one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done- from the sheer scale of the works to the engineering to make them stand up (and not blow over in 30mph winds🤦🏻‍♀️😭) the attention to detail getting them right, the challenge of working simultaneously on them all in the studio, the time limitations, the installing and deinstalling 😵‍💫 it has been REAL and behind the scenes there have been a whole team of people keeping me supported and sane, foremost amongst them Dom @dcgoremusic ❤️ who has carried stuff, cooked me meals, dealt with my tantrums, given me pep talks and given up his weekends, and carried MORE stuff without complaint, even when I’m being an asshole because I’m exhausted 😂 So here’s a little BTS appreciation post to Dom, Jacob, Eliza, Jim, Lily, Frances, Ellie and everyone else who has had to put up with my bullshit in the run up to this show, love you guys ❤️ @dcgoremusic @ellielace @frances.stanfield @lilyholder

For those of you who didn’t manage to make the show IRL, you MIGHT not know that the pieces were carved on both sides 👀 photographed on 35m ❤️ NGL feels pretty spectacular to have my first proper day off in nearly a month! Don’t expect an email response from me until next week 😂

I guess the cat is finally out of the bag! It’s been such a crazy few weeks prepping this show and I’m so excited to finally share what I’ve been working on with you all! HOWEVER- due to a forecast of pretty strong winds we’re doing a little switcheroo and postponing the first day of the show until tomorrow at 12! So sorry for anyone who was planning to come down today and catch it- there’s a whole lot of benefits to showing in such a beautiful, natural space, unfortunately the vagaries of the English autumn wind forecast is not one of them! ONE DAY TO GO! The PV (BYOB) and all our other events will still go ahead as planned ❤️
