In an exclusive series, Paris-based photographer Lukasz Pukowiec lenses an intimate documentary project capturing nature and youth on the island of Mauritius ❤️⁠ ⁠ “Mauritus is unique when it comes to landscapes, but the main thing that made it so special for me were people,” says the photographer, who began capturing images of nature and his friends 16 years ago. “Everyone were smiling, full of life, very cordial and trusting. We made friends quickly and people showed us nearby villages and how life looks there. I had to show how warm and happy they are.”⁠ ⁠ Through his series, Pukowiec only hopes to distil the beautiful island and its inhabitants truthfully. “I hope people would feel only positive emotions when they see the series – that’s what I’m trying to give to people I’m meeting everywhere I go.
