Happy to share ‘It Was Never Meant to Be Easy’ (2024) by Nick van Tiem. Part of an ongoing collaboration of the Dutch photographer and the Broke Boys Collective based in Cape Town. The project follows the boys during their attempt to realise their dream of building a community of like-minded peers, their climb on a steep social ladder, and their quest as they face the responsibilities of leading the next generation into a brighter future. Recently published in the ZEIT Magazine as well as having two images nominated for the Taylor Wessing Portrait prize.
