[2023 Highlight] WORLDS‼️ It wasn’t an easy path to get here. And even as I say that, I feel like people still won’t understand. Sooo much happened in 2023. I remember thinking about going for Worlds and contemplating, “Is this something I can do? Can I really pull this off?” I had just lost my job and my house. I had no coach and no support. It was about 3 months out and I had nothing. But there was a small voice in the back of my head saying “I can and I will”. I decided to listen to that voice and went complete TUNNEL VISION. I took a chance and reached out for support. Turns out there are many people that have my back and wanted to see the USA represented in streetlifting. My goFundMe reached 4K in 2 months. I can’t stress enough that this really would NOT have happened if it weren’t for the amazing support many of you showed. 🙏🏾💖 Missing 1st place by a single 1.25kg increment is crazy. Breaking the world record for pulls and dips is crazy. The fact that I made it all the way to Germany was crazy!! But it happened, and because of it there will be many more USA athletes competing in the future. More girls are gunna start pulling heavier.
