3 Years Clean and Sober. Today is the only celebration of the year that I feel I have truly earned. And this past year was the most challenging by far, so far. I would be a liar if I said I didn’t have moments of true temptation to find the easy escape for whatever was in front of me in that moment, but I am so grateful to have a new set of tools and community to help me stay clean and sober one day at a time. My life is immeasurably more manageable without the chaos of addiction plaguing my everyday existence. I will continue to trudge the road to happy destiny, and be of service to anyone I can along the way. Today marks a major milestone in my life. I have struggled with alcoholism and drug addiction for many years, and found myself a shell of a man. Little did I know that my addiction would lead me to what is the most amazing gift I’ve ever received. The gift of sobriety. I have been surrounded with the most incredible community of people on this journey and could not be where I am today without my tribe. It has been the most difficult process of my life, and I would not trade it for anything. I am so grateful, and full of so much hope and love today. One day at a time… I am One Year Sober 💚
