I figured your Christmas shopping is done, your outfits are all planned so what better time to use our platform (nearly 1M muses!) to educate on where our clothes are made, how we stand very different to fast fashion and to honestly, debunk the generalisation of what “Made in China” means. This is our supplier, Aimee. I showed her a TikTok someone made comparing us to Boohoo. For context, China does not have TikTok, they are not exposed to the same content we are, so I knew a lot of what she told me but the way she so candidly explained it to me, in such a way of how different she proudly runs her factory. Fast Fashion is cheap prices, cheap labour and factories will be put under a lot of pressure to finish the order as quickly and as cheaply as possible. If you are wondering how ethical a brand is, I think it’s good to ask the question “how many factories do you work with?” Because NO.1 the website you are looking at could display all the creditations of just one good “show factory” they use (we have seen Shein do this when they did the influencer trip which I still can’t believe that moment in history happened) & NO.2 brands who use numbers of factories, often negotiate between all factories and the cheapest/fastest will ultimately win the order. When I first went to China, I was told I should really have a few suppliers to lean on. I didn’t mind this, my goal was to only find 1 more because I love my current supplier. I visited many factories, many were just offices that created samples but wouldn’t show me the full on production line, and others really were an eye opening experience. From that trip, we planned Odd Muse exclusivity and are in the process of opening our own brand new floor together (which I’ve got the pleasure of decorating so there will be a pink corner for Chinese Tea but Oat Milk Cappuccinos too✌️) I’ve had the best experience manufacturing in China and getting to know these people & their families on such a personal level. I would never risk this beautiful loyalty and friendship I have to simply shave some money off a cost price. Odd Muse is brand with ❤️ & so is the company who makes the clothes ❤️

So proud to be Odd Muse 🖤 Going to use our fabulous platform to show more appreciation for our suppliers. We exclusively work with ONE factory, we continue to expand our business’ together and I feel the luckiest girl in the world to have the experience I have had since day 1 with our Odd Muse factory. Greeted with such a warm welcome as always, but finally a chance to celebrate with the factory regarding our success in New York! The success of our New York store means as much to the people making the clothes as it does us, and that’s so special ❤️ A big focus for this trip is also sharing more about where Odd Muse is made, and who makes Odd Muse. Still to this day, Odd Muse is exclusive to one factory. While some may see this as risky, myself and my supplier have made an agreement to grow our business’ together. We plan our growth together, and are constantly reviewing our expansion meaning we hire accordingly so no one is stretched, take on new floors (we have a new 1000 SQFT Odd Muse floor just above this office) and plan unit commitment 12 months ahead so no one feels any unexpected rush to meet new orders. It’s a system we’re in constant communication about, both myself and my supplier run our business’ with that in the forefront of our minds and I’m so proud of that. It is however my duty to make sure information like this is readily available on our website to all new visitors, so we will be building out a new page on site and hope to not only inform you on how much we care about the people making our clothes, but I also want it to be a educational piece on manufacturing overseas. Our first ever evening wear piece (a pre bridesmaid teaser) launched & has sold out multiple times since she first hit the site! 2. We casually opened a 2500 SQ FT store in Soho, New York which continues to perform beyond our wildest dreams 3. We hosted a little evening before… @emmaleger stopped by in a split sleeve 👑 4. & @forbes labelled it as one of the most stylish events this fall in NYC!!!! 5. We launched so many iconic party pieces, which as much as you love us shooting in the office and introducing the product… 6. This collection saw our most iconic shoot to date. Party 2024 has by far been my favourite to date! It felt like it established a whole new era for Odd Muse 7. & lastly… BLACK FRIDAY?! 20,000 orders worldwide with so many new customers experiencing Odd Muse for the first time! We could never grow this much without you, Q4 2024 you have been amazing. Let’s stay in New York I think…
