SAN DIEGO! I’m making my debut in the city with @sashamvrie @ifyouseemeyouseeme this Saturday night. I’m stoked for this for many reasons - firstly I have been following Sasha for a long time and have so much respect for her and what she does! Grateful to be a part of this. Secondly my parents moved to Oceanside a few years ago and it’s been a weird shift calling it home after 20 years living in New Jersey. So doing a show in SD will hopefully ground me a bit! Tomorrow I’m djing for @zeroproofny, a debut party concept started by my friend @jeanthemachine_ at @wanderingbarman. Which has an amazing mocktail selection 😊 This party series aims to center dance and de-center substances as social lubricants. ZERO Proof encourages connection through music in a substance-free environment, though attendees don’t need to be sober to join. I resonate with this because I don’t drink alcohol - been sober since after college (where I realized the through several hard lessons that alcohol wasn’t for me). It’s something that I don’t even think about now or feel any inclination towards. A good night out for me always centers around the music, and the friends that I am with. I do enjoy cannabis and sometime other herbs, but I don’t require it for a night out. I have no issues with people who drink at all, I love when people are enjoying themselves around me however they choose! For me, alcohol in particular just doesn’t resonate. Link in bio!
