A rainy, brainy, day at the Pacific Science Center! 🧠🏙️
To celebrate the opening of the new #BrainyBodies exhibit, scientists from the @uofwa / Washington Research Foundation, @alleninstitute, and @stem_pals_uw hosted “Meet the Scientist” activity booths where kids could build neurons, feel 3D printed brains based off MRI scans, play an animal brain game, and ask neuroscientists any questions they wanted!
The event started with a members only preview with cute and delicious mini cheesecakes and coffee to fuel a day of brain exploration! ☕️💪🏼🧠 Did I almost get carried away by the wind ? Yup! Was it a great day of teaching and learning for kids and adults alike (with rainbows at the end?!?) Yess!! 🌈🧠
I only showed a small snippet of the exhibit here (no spoilers!!) so be sure to check out the #BrainyBodies Exhibit (and honestly all the other really cool stuff) happening right now at @pacsci !!

Our new #BrainyBodies exhibit is officially open to the public! 🧠✨
A heartfelt thank you to the @alleninstitute, @stem_pals_uw, and faculty fellows from the Quantitative Imaging for Learning, Language, & Speech (QuILLS) Lab at UW for helping us bring neuroscience to life at @PacSci last weekend.
It was truly inspiring to see scientists engaging with curious minds of all ages, sparking conversations about the incredible complexities of the brain.
We’re thrilled to have partnered with these amazing organizations to celebrate the opening of Brainy Bodies—a hands-on exhibit that explores the wonders of the human brain. Your enthusiasm and dedication make events like this possible.
Thank you for helping us share the marvels of neuroscience with our community! 🧠✨

✨ @PacSci Opening Doors for Future Scientists 🔬
Our Science on Wheels and Digital Discovery programs are more than outreach—they’re gateways to discovery. As King County Councilmember Claudia Balducci said:
“PacSci goes far and above providing scientific education. They give each visitor a key to explore both the world and their own curiosity, opening doors to learning, growth, and the future.”
Thanks to the transformative Doors Open levy, we’re bringing hands-on STEM experiences to communities most affected by inequities, ensuring that youth in King County have access to life-changing opportunities for exploration and growth.
