ok - 😩🫥 I feel like angry yet relieved that there’s no more denying that trump is no aberration - but the realization of the most american of aims, which is a white death cult. white as in aspiration. americans practice cruel means of death on our poor, our children, our most vulnerable and export it to gaza, sudan, and beyond. anywhere else to keep us comfortable and in denial. liberals can stop lying to themselves. AND i’m here in paris celebrating this book that forever carries so many friends, lovers, interlocutors and collaborators, a whole community that won’t stop making art, won’t stop taking care of each other, and will see this through like communities have and still do through dictatorships, repression and genocides. this project started at the end of the obama term, and work continued under trump, biden and the one thing i had control over was not stopping. we’ll still be here. art is evidence that we ARE LIVING. palestine will be free. Thank you everyone who came out last Friday to the book preview/talk at Bortolami. So many thanks to the whole team at @aperturefnd and @bortolamigallery for hosting the event, @michaeljbullock for moderating the conversation, @siborg81 and @la.martin_ who really saw this project from conception to concrete reality. i forgot to get any pictures of us together, so i’m reposting all these from friends n folks who came thru.
