From fall of 2022 to summer of 2024, The Supremes At Earl's All-You-Can-Eat has had my heart. I'm forever grateful for my time on this set with the wonderful cast and crew, and I cannot express my gratitude enough for this film being my first premiere experience. Tell Us About You? I am an upcoming cinematographer with a passion for the art of storytelling. I have the experience of working in a variety of roles on more than 20 short films, a multitude of commercials and 4 feature films in association with studios including Lionsgate, Universal and Searchlight Pictures. I’ve been recognized for my zealous work in a variety of roles as I progressed from being a Production Assistant to a Cinematographer and Writer/Director. With the skills of narrative storytelling, imaginative world building and creative composition, I bring a unique perspective to any production I take on. What makes you Epic? What makes me epic as a Creative Entrepreneur is that I use my platform to help represent people who look like me, in front of and behind the camera. I am proud of my professional achievements, and it means that much more to know that being who I am in various camera department roles acts as representation for other Black girls with similar aspirations. Whats One Dream You Want to accomplish in the next year? Within the next year, I am committed to accomplishing the goal of co-writing at least one short film, being the cinematographer in the production of it, and being accepted into multiple film festivals for this film in 2025. To be young, gifted and Black. ABFF 2024 was an experience like no other. Being around so many people who look like me and share similar passions gave me a greater sense of community that I am forever grateful to be a part of. From the white party, to Kerry Washington, to Hoorae House, to Issa Rae and DENZEL WASHINGTON!!!! (and more lol) I left Miami feeling so incredibly affirmed in my path as a filmmaker. Thank you to the @americanblackfilmfestival for creating this platform for us, our voices and our stories🙌🏿 Congratulations @cswanson44 for another successful screening of @albanyroadmovie 👏🏿🎉 I am so glad to have been a part of the making of this film. Yesterday, May 21, 2024 was my first day as a union utility in the camera department. 85+ degrees, 3-cam shoot, all exterior, and over 21,000 steps. I wouldn't have rather been anywhere else. Less than 2 years post-grad and many years in the making led to this opportunity and it's only up from here. Special thanks to @ally.ba.ba and Monica for helping me get this gig💕 Super special thanks to my boys in Illinois (@auggiedoubrawa @madebykal , Benji, Kiko & Doug) for the @setwear chest pack that I finally got to use on a union set🫡 And shout out to my best friend @sighkari for hugging my crying self in the middle of Chili's when I first got confirmed for this job😂 Rachel's in camera, y'all. That's a wrap on The Supremes!!🥳 3rd feature down, a million more to go. This show challenged me in ways I hadn't experienced before, and I've grown because of it. Made some new friends and gained new responsibilities.
