Ever seen a movie and that turned your life on its head? That’s exactly what happened with the new track from Victorian artist @forestclaudette  “Four years ago, I saw the film Moonlight for the first time, and it changed my life” they explain “Afterward, I picked up my guitar, and this idea sort of poured out of me. I’d never felt like I had the space to hold that side of myself before, and even still, it’s taken all this time to feel comfortable, safe, and secure enough to share it with the world” Exemplifying the latest stage in their musical evolution, the new track is accompanied by a striking and emotional video examining identity, directed by @quinn_cavin. Finding a plain-clothed Claudette transfixed by the TV screen before them, they gaze captivated by their alter ego who exudes the confidence they’ve long searched for. “My mum said something after watching the music video for ‘Moonlight’, she said she felt like she could see me better, as if somehow I was revealed in a new light.” “Forest’s music is so rich with nuanced imagery, inspiration isn’t hard to come by” adds director Quinn “We played extensively in preproduction to find a set of visuals to accompany the aura and texture of the music.
