The last one is probably one of my favourite shots :) These are all clips that I shot in Zambia. Some in Nsobe, some in Mutinondo, Kabwe, … Looking back at all the footage I have from this trip… it’s so much that I almost don’t know where to start 😅 I realised that every clip is an important memory so I wanted to make this to remind myself of that. I came up with the concept of this video a while ago. Wanting to create a cinematic style reel about looking back at summer using a vieuwmaster 🙃 and it’s exactly what I had in mind. It reminds me of video postcards, and that’s what I intended it to be. I quite liked making this one so perhaps I’ll make some more… sharing some memories. The colourful mountains of northern Spain :) I really like the unique red color of these mountains and the texture it has when shot from the sky. I also like the patterns the river leaves behind, it’s an ever changing piece of art in my opinion. Walking here was a special experience, because of the surreal landscape but also because the soil here is very sticky when wet. So when we got back our shoes were covered in red clay 😅 Matching the pictures is quite challenging, because getting the exact shade of red that it is in real life on a photograph requires a bit of tweaking. And still if I look trough all the pictures I took there I ended up with 5 different shades of red 😅 Landscape photography is something I want to try more of the coming year. Friday we leave to Zambia so I’m guessing that I will get to capture a lot of incredible landscapes there! I've been going trough my pictures of the past year looking for one that I like enough to be printed out. Probably my most used wallpaper so far 😅 Whenever I’m photographing landscapes I always try to capture a photo worthy of being on my phone or laptops background. And I’m very picky so that’s sets the bar high 🙃. In the coming year I want to try and get better at capturing landscapes. Both moving images and stills. As a result I’ve preordered the nature filmmaking course by @benjaminhardman , stoked to learn from him! These were shot in the north of Spain, a region I really want to go back to as soon as I can get the chance! Where’d the time go? A spec ad I made with the Hyundai Santa Fe. Last week I went out and with the brand new @vanmossel_hyundai Santa Fe to capture this. What a lovely car! We went all the way to “Riete” to capture the Forrest scenes, which was a lot of fun! I’ve got some ideas on how this could have been made even better so I might make a part 2 ;). The main camera I used for this is the @lumix S5II. Using the REAL TIME LUT function I could preview the nostalgic colors I had in mind on the back of my camera. Saving some color grading time as well. Please, let the rain start. A couple of shots from September when things got really dry in Zambia. Power was down because the hydro dams couldn’t produce enough electricity and the water supply was running low all together. Finally the rain is starting in some regions, let’s hope it rains a lot this year so that it doesn’t become worse next year. Running trough the Forrest 🌲 Flying FPV is a skill I really want to master. Slowly I’m getting there 😅 flying in the simulator lot, and taking it with me whenever I go somewhere. Flying near mountains and ik big open landscapes is fun and all, but I have to practice some to fly in tighter environments 🙃. A picture I took in Porto a couple months back. This was during sunset. All the tourists gathered on the bridge to photograph the iconic city with the golden light. But I couldn’t resist photographing them instead 🙃 all neatly lined up. I usually prefer nature over cities but this one I quite liked. The port is busy for sure, but there is so much more to see and it gets really calm once you walk a little. “The boatclub” One of the days we stopped at a boating club. This club had a couple of houses spread out on the terrain and the owners all let us stay in their (secondary) houses. Which was really kind of them. These houses were property of a couple of rich Zambians that like boating. They are secondary houses where they go in the weekends. And a big clubhouse in the middle of the terrain. Because of the national drought the water here is at an all time low, even last year the water level was way higher. All around the lake there are a lot of traces from local cows coming here to drink from the water. There are also fishermen fishing on the lake. (They use the boats you see in the first photo) I also wouldn’t recommend swimming here because of the crocodiles 🙃 The pictures are all taken on 35mm film (Kodak Gold) with the Olympus MJU -1. #photography #photooftheday #filmphotography #kodakgold200 #filmisnotdead #africa #zambia #olympus #olympusmju1

Memories from our trip with @veloafrique shot on 35mm film! Couldn’t use the vieuwfinder of my camera so a couple of them came out blurry or with bad framing. But a lot came out beautifully 🤩 There is just something about bike trips shot on film that feels so timeless. Love doing it. I’m gonna keep saying it… what an amazing trip! What an amazing trip. After spending a month in Zambia I’ve gotten to experience so many new things. From cities that are completely different to ours to nature and animals that I’ve never seen before. I felt like there was something new and interesting around every corner. I captured this picture on a hike to the top of the highest mountain of Mutinondo Wild camp. Also a very unique place with different nature and mountains to the rest of the country. Tomorrow I’ll probably bring the rolls of film to the lab so pictures of cycling Zambia will be coming soon ;) I’m so grateful that I managed to be able to travel there.
