2 years of Art Direction with @closerskateboarding ! Here are some of my fav graphics and a lil story 📖 I met @jaimeowens about 10 years ago while interning at Transworld. His crew was so inspiring, I just wanted to be like those bad boys who designed skate mags and ripped the private skatepark at lunch. So… I went to school for graphic design with dreams of designing skate editorials. By the time I graduated college and was ready to work, print mags died. I pivoted to other creative work, kinda bailing on editorial design. 8 years later, Jaime hit me up and told me he was starting a new skate maga. He asked if I wanted to be his Art Director and I was like… fuuuuuuck yeah. Starting the mag with Jaime has been a special full circle moment and a real fun side project. 2 years later…. and we’re still going strong 8 issues deep. Congrats Jaime and everyone else involved for starting something really cool ✌️
