Bringing some updates your way after almost a month since the closing night of Slut Island Festival 2024. Endless heartfelt thanks to all the participating artists and also majorly the community that forms the supportive, enthusiastic slut island audience. With your participation we were able to raise a pretty penny for these local organizations working tirelessly against the violent conditions of late capitalism—from prison abolition to media sources that aren't run by the bourgeiosie, to Palestinian liberation and anti-imperialist struggle, to addressing the lack of infrastructure around safe supply and criminalization of drug users. Learn more about these organizations and how you can participate beyond donations. 💖 Thank you a million times we love you ❤️🔥.
The festival starts today! Remember you are part of a larger network and please take that seriously 🔗. We have incredible programming this year and we ask for conscientious participation (we know you're good for it).
Thank you and looking forward ❤️

This year, Slut Island is proudly supporting projects that refuse to succumb to inertia in the face of brutality! They want us exhausted and they want us to give up, but through collective effort there is persistance. These projects do their part in interfering on the agenda of late capitalism and deserve our support, time and energy. Thank you for contributing to these fundraising efforts, and please take the time to learn more about these organizations if you haven't already! ❤️🔥

Opening our Sunday October 27th event is @traderockstar from NYC. Prepare your heart for some harp and grunge-esque vocals 🎶
Once described as “something one might hear before they pass,” Deuén is a New York City-based composer, musician, performer, and anti-disciplinary artist who shimmers between dreams and reality. Their “rnb concrète,” weaves metallic production, bass, and reverb-coated, grunge-esque vocals into unusual and tender melodies.
