Baroness - Red/Blue at Kung Fu Necktie Philadelphia, PA 12/14/2024 Music has been a massive influence in my filmmaking and photography, and so much of those passions started around 2007-2009 when I first started taking photos at concerts and dreaming of directing short films. During that same era, Baroness had released ‘The Red Album’ and ‘Blue Record’, which I’ve consistently played since then and always kept close to me. To see them play material from both those records this past weekend, in their hometown of Philadelphia with a crowd of less than 100 people was an experience I’ll never forget. I brought a tiny camera to shoot a handful of shots for the evening, but spent the rest of the time being up front, thrashing my head around and singing along with the band and a room full of people who also were close with this music. Thank you Baroness for putting on one of the best shows of my life, and for making music that constantly brings joy and inspires me and many others.
