Let’s recap! (Mostly because I shamelessly like the top on my picture, hehe. Sorry not sorry! (Is that still cool 😎 to say?)). 1. “Your Sex Is An Accelerant” (single) was released on February this year! Under @cold_transmission_official 2. “Destroy Me” (collab with @nightcrawlermusic ) was released this past month 3. “Let’s Lose to Disco” (single) was released today under @lamaisonwarrior RainboWarriors compilation! I took a step back from my next album to just work with people and focus on single songs. However, that’s it! I’m getting back in the driver seat and continuing to work on my next album 🍒 I’m not sure how long it’ll take me (maybe several months) so, please enjoy the singles that have been released this year! This past year has been one of my hardest years. I’m not one to overshare, but my art is the most vulnerable place I can invite people into, so I’ve decided to write this. I have had the most intense grief I’ve ever experienced. One that I’ve pushed down as deep as possible because I thought I didn’t deserve to grieve. The guilt was eating all of my insides, I chopped my hair off, I gained weight, I kept pushing down. I gave into the (very) few comments online “you don’t deserve to grieve”, “you left him behind”. I gave into fake friendships, I lost my inspiration, I thought I didn’t deserve to be on stage anymore. I stopped making music. I became more silent online (although to be fair, I was never the outspoken one of the two). Once I started making music again, I leaned into what I thought people wanted, because I did not deserve to make music that came from the heart. So I had a dream. A dream where I was told to just focus on music. I lost my passport during a tour. I later found a random picture of that passport, with a live voice in the background. “Do it. Just concentrate on music”. (SECOND SLIDE). What are the chances? He spoke to me from the other side. I begged for an answer and he told me. Just focus on the music. I was told recently that some grief never leaves, and that’s okay. I know my grief will not stop. But, I am using it better. I am letting go of the guilt, but not the good. People are put in your path for a reason. If you’re ever grieving and it feels like it’ll never end, it might not. But you’re not alone. You’re allowed to be happy, you’re allowed to love, and to live. I am now at my happiest. And I’m grateful. Love y’all. 🤍 stay tuned for new music of all kinds 🤍
