galliano has exited house of margiela announced officially. EARLIER TODAY i was writing about the demand for earnestness in fashion compared to the culture of post-modern irony. i think in analyzing demna’s balenciaga (my original intent / video for today) i’m pushed to contrast against the earnest optimistic expression of the couture show from galliano. i wonder if the playful ironic riffing demna is leading people to critique repetition at that house (i think misguided critique not the point of what they want) SO I AM writing while lime juice :/

“i had a delightful day today, actually” (my mom just said that on the phone) - these are images of me at pioneer works ‘press play’ i waited an entire year to come to this. last year i did a talk at press play about dollz thanks to triple canopy. then i got a new creative corporate job shortly after when the new year started and i wanted to see if it’d be different. it was a day i’ve dreamed of since i was a kid actually i just thought it’d be a nice day off, it was transformative (again). i gotta do somethin’ ok i gotta change up
