At Tidal, we are deeply unsettled by the direction this country is heading. We stand against the hate-driven rhetoric and unjust policies aimed at women, trans individuals, queer people, immigrants, and marginalized communities. We’re also heartbroken by the desensitization surrounding the violence and suffering in Palestine.
We believe art, creativity, and storytelling can be forms of protest—and tools of liberation. Through connection and community, we push forward, determined to play a part, however small, in reshaping a world that values justice and empathy.
Today, we’re proud to release our new issue:
Our cover star, transgender actor and activist Laverne Cox
@lavernecox, has dedicated her life to performance, untangling her deepest traumas along the way. Joining her in Issue 19, Palestinian vocalist Bashar Murad
@basharmuradofficial explores music as a revolutionary act; actor and comedian Ego Nwodim
@eggyboom opens up about her new show, ‘Mr. Throwback,’ and the nuances of Black womanhood in comedy; and Brazilian trans visual artist Tadáskía
@tadaskia invites us into her world of connection, wonder, and play.
Thank you to all our incredible contributors. Here’s to the voices that challenge, stories that heal, and the courage to imagine a better world.
