@zoeyxinyigong , a distinguished Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) expert, and @zizisensei , a revered Ikebana master, form an extraordinary duo whose collaboration bridges the gap between ancient healing arts and the serene aesthetics of Japanese flower arranging. Their workshops and seminars not only celebrate their individual expertise but also highlight the interconnectedness of health, nature, and art, offering participants a profound journey into the depths of Eastern wisdom.

The collection “Soft Cage” is inspired by the dynamics and exclusive activities between parents and children in the designer’s family. It incorporates objects like harnesses and whistles and uses techniques such as wire knitting and silkscreen printing, along with upcycled vintage clothing, to explore the complexities of parent-child relationships.

“Two bodies” explores the interaction between two independent entities, particularly focusing on psychological codependency. This dynamic causes an imbalanced push and pull, leading the independents to bond. The project draws on the Chinese philosophical concept of “yin and yang,” integrating themes of maximalism and minimalism, femininity and masculinity, and Eastern and Western cultures. Inspired by the poppy flower, from which morphine is derived, the project aims for the two entities to become painkillers for each other. Ultimately, the two incomplete bodies gradually come together to form a complete whole.

Discovering stability in the ebb and flow of life, “피다 - Pi Da” draws inspiration from Virginia Woolf’s profound words, ‘I am rooted, but I flow,’ echoing the essence of her novel, The Waves. Rooted in the concept of ‘inyeon,’ a divine intertwining of destinies, it reflects on the profound connections shaping our lives. Through reimagined Korean heritage, this collection embraces resilience and adaptability, weaving traditional silhouettes with contemporary flair. Embrace your roots while flowing with change, embodying the timeless dance of destiny and identity.
