Travelling to the @karoo_winter_wool_festival inspired and recharged us in so many ways. The sense of community, celebration of craftsmanship, and pride in sustainable and ethical practices gave us so much hope for our industry in South Africa. We quickly realized this shoot meant more than just an editorial, it meant recognition. Recognition for so many people, more than just the designers or the models, but also to the farm workers, farmers, weavers, spinners, dyers and Karoo locals. With so many hailing from the Eastern Cape, this felt like a true celebration of the Karoo in every sense, from the fiber to the creative.
