Here’s a new mix for @tamada_lps @egrego.re show the pelvic dancefloor. Tamada is one part of @fatamorganafestival and I’m super keen to attend this next year. I’ve spent the past six months floating about France and neighboring surrounds, seeking out small festivals and DIY parties to explore the sound that’s been close to my heart. Sharing some trippy textural sounds that make me want to move my body, I’ve been craving the slow mode so I wanted to make a slow burn mix ft many french artists and labels that I’ve been into this past year. 𝐆𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 kicks off our first 𝙈𝙐𝙏𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉𝙎 set on the rooftop this Sunday from 2pm!⁠ ⁠ Gillie makes DJing seem effortless. A long-term staple of the best dancefloors in Sydney, Gillie picked up CDJs and a mixer in 2020 and never looked back. Their mixing is supple and skillful; their track choices ooze with personality; their sets flow with grace.⁠ ⁠ 𝐆𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 moves like a sidewinder as they slink through dub, dancehall and trip-hop rhythms on top of mutant basslines and spacious atmospherics, playing music that feels bleeding edge while remaining anchored in a sense of organic feeling. ⁠ ⁠ The Nomad Radio resident has hosted a slew of Misc faves - Mike Midnight, Ivy, Sina - on their monthly show. They’ve dazzled dancers at festivals like Freedom Time NYE, supported titans including Loraine James, DJ Plead and Underground Resistance - they've recently moved to France and it feels fortuitous to have them as our lil 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑐ℎ 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, for this show joining dots between the local scene and the France scene that our headliners, Amor Satyr and Siu Mata, hail from.⁠ ⁠ 𝐆𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 playing from doors on the rooftop, free entry for the duration of their set!
