Very excited to share some work out today for @niallhoran ! This was a fun collaboration between the label and I to make a soft and pretty piece for this book release. I spent time dialing in a "vintage lens" look for the CG to cut in well with the 16mm footage and film photos. Found a mixture of my lens vignette pack and some post effects to make a Helios 44 type swirly bokeh. Shoutout to @nicksteinhardt for bringing me on.

New short out "I Look Pale". For this short, we set out to bring retro in-camera VFX back to life in 2023. But we chose to accomplish the same techniques with modern technology. From matte paintings, to miniatures, to lighting effects we tried to faithfully emulate these techniques through the modern lens. @paramore "The News" / VFX BREAKDOWN A few have asked and I'm excited to share a VFX breakdown for the new @paramore music video. The band, @m.k.a.v and I really wanted to dial in this retro-futuristic look - something that could have been composited on celluloid back in the 70s or 80s. Many of the effects were additive effects with a few CG moments sprinkled in. Another aspect I wanted to include was the previz we did for this job. We were fortunate enough to use @shiftdynamics.co Colossus Robot but we knew we needed to be as prepared as possible. We prevized all the big moves we knew we wanted in 3D and then handed them off to @johnedwinspencer to program. Some of them obviously were too intense to do in real life, but Jon's input really made the moves awesome. I had a lot of fun getting to go crazy on some of these shots, I hope you enjoy this breakdown. #paramore

Fun tour intro for @rileyduckman today directed by @tkmckamy . They couldn't shoot the performances while driving at high speeds so they provided green screen and additional driving footage to comp together. There's a VFX breakdown on the second slide.
