New Years, queen? Our 2023 party was unhinged with love & movement so we're doing it again for 2024 at @theavalonlounge HQ. Luv Bruvs, the power duo of residents @basicbradbrad & @sarahgvanburen, will be holding down the upstairs lounge all night. We last saw da Bruvs playing lost italo hits at Dope Jams during the Future Sound of Nature weekend, and are thrilled to see what they've been up to. Residents @ragersolutions and @scotia_the_real_human_scotia will be holding down the main floor all night – but (but!) – we're excited to bring a live hardware set from Rose Club. Rose Club is DJ Guy ( @dj_guy_arts_center ), Swim Ice ( @swim_ice ) and CRN resident Scotia – who fuse East Coast Club breaks with Acid and Warehouse techno. Wut! His DJ sets are shaped by an intentional consideration of mind-altering substances, opting to take his listeners on a psychedelic exploration rather than blast them out of the ether. Shaped by a hearty diet of idm and experimental music, dancers are treated to a steady drip of noisy hypnotic techno buoyed by breezy pads and dulcet tones. threehz will be joined in the main room by kidsisters Scotia (opening) and Rager (closing)! Holding down the upstairs lounge is @deedeedame a dynamic force in the house music scene. As the co-host of the legendary Wet Noise parties downtown, and with a background as a hypnotherapist, DeeDee guides her audience through a journey of self-discovery and liberation through collective euphoria. Her juicy blend of house, disco, funk and soul celebrates the golden era of dance music and makes it impossible to not surrender to the groove. On June 8th we are thrilled to welcome Ron Like Hell from Brooklyn to the CRN booth 🦇 Ron Like Hell provides eclectic sets venturing into obscure international sounds, Techno, Synth, House, Acid and Disco which are appreciated by some of the most discerning dance floor enthusiasts. Their closing set at 2022’s Sustain Release – a sprawling odyssey of dance music eras, energies, and emotions – remains quintessential to those were there. The CRN residents formed the beginnings of a familial bond that night, which continue to inform the spirit of our parties 💜 Approaching a dj mix as assemblages, Ron Like Hell aligns sound with emotion, focusing on texture to create psychedelic soundscapes, imaginative spaces for comfort and surprise spectators with an unexpected crafty transition. With 26+ years of making people dance in numerous countries along with years of vinyl shop experience and music promotion, his/their role in the industry is unique and influential. Ron also djs as Wrecked, a music first queer dance party which recently turned 11.
