Today, we celebrate our 8th birthday with the announcement of 8 Till Infinity. 8 Till ∞ symbolizes our enduring mission to support artists and connect communities, now and into the future, while also taking a retrospective view of eight years spent redefining India’s independent music culture. Beginning early November and lasting until December 31st, 2024, boxout.fm’s 8 Till Infinity celebrations will bring back our iconic pop-up radio broadcasts highlighting the diversity of sounds from India’s underground music scene. These pop-up shows will take over a number of venues such as VegNonVeg, Sound Redefined and Monkey Bar. An exclusive line of 8 Till ∞ merch is also incoming, featuring our new 8 Till Infinity graphic conjured up from the minds of eight boxout.fm artists from within the community. We’ve got more exciting 8 Till Infinity developments in store that you’ll be hearing about in the weeks ahead. Influenced by Moluccan Folk, Gospel, Soul, and Funk, JAEL brings a unique, high-energy performance that blends DJing, live vocals, and his own productions. @cashuuuu_ 🇧🇷 is set to make her way to India this September for a three-city tour! 🇮🇳 Cashu, a key figure in São Paulo's queer underground electronic music scene, uses her work to address urgent political issues. She co-founded the Mamba Negra collective to decentralize and diversify the local scene. An active presence in São Paulo’s electronic scene, DJ Cashu regularly performs at block parties, small venues, and independent collectives. She’s played in over 15 cities globally, bringing her energy to major festivals and clubs, including Panorama Bar/Berghain, Dekmantel Festival, Red Bull Music Academy Festival, and more.
