My second to last show of 2024 and we bring you something very special. 2 hours celebrating the ‘Dub Mix’ ✨ As my regular listeners will know, i’ve been talking about doing this show ever since i did something similar on my BBC Residency last year. It felt great to indulge and play all the Dub Versions i absolutely adore! For anyone who’s not familiar with a Dub Mix of a track, it’s an edit of a track, but stripped back, usually less vocals if any at all and more emphasis on the drums and building the tension. Perfect for DJs! Special mention to @djdavidmorales , @masters_at_work_official, Mood II Swing, @francoisknyc & @orbital who all feature in this show and were the masters of making Dub Mixes. First time playing the depot at @whp_mcr for the @feelmybicep takeover 🤯

This episode tilted on some dubby pieces i’ve been especially drawn to recently, inc new music from Loidis’s recent LP which i very nearly missed! We also had bits from @evileddierichards , Dub Theory, @loxodrome_cyphon , @delanosmithofficial and brand new music from @bushwacka & @gideon_dj_official . In hour two we were treated to a glorious mix from the Stockholm based dj and producer @mattiaselmansouri . They sent in a really special mix ranging from World, Jazz, House, Spiritual Jazz, Funk & more. As a DJ he caters more to his love for good music, rather than to potential assumptions of what and how DJ:s should play. In other words, his ”anything goes”-mentality can surely take you places if you let them. His NTS mix is a testament to that.
