Application and paint by myself and @chelseadelfino_sfx Stubble punched into the appliances by me to add some texture to the finished look. ~~ This was a five piece make up from left over pieces gifted to me by @vincentvandykefx ~~ I’ve always wanted to apply an aging make up from when I first started in this industry. Something about bringing a character life and trying to accomplish the realism factor has got me hooked as I am not so much a creature gal. I’m usually in shop painting raw silicone and/or prepainting appliances for set, but this! This was another kind of satisfaction. ~~ Thank you SO much Chelsea for your time and tips, always love learning from others, couldn’t have asked for a better person to do this with. I liked stepping out of my comfort zone for a moment playing around with a creature make up. A make up that is also foam! I don’t consider myself a make up artist, yet. I’ve only dabbled for fun and have had a couple gigs here and there as an extra hand. So when @danmakesstuff asked me to help with this make up I was intrigued for sure.. I love learning from other people when it comes to anything, especially when I don’t know much about it. I was asked to do the hair on this guy. I suggested some orange-ginger batty-ness and Dan ran with it. I sent over some references of particular bats that I thought would suit some vivid orange hair, including bats with fluorescent yellow ears and noses. He kept the paint job pretty fleshy, pinky and not busy.. which I liked. Dan also made the dentures to go along with this keeping the tips translucent, more accurate to actual bat teeth rather than human. I think the teeth and chest hair are my favorite part 😅 it’s the little things! Thanks Dan. Thanks to @rbfxprosthetics for the pieces, thanks @gordontarpley for sitting incredibly! My celebrity likeness sculptures over the years in order from when I started. 2019 was the year I began this “hobby” starting with Jack Nicholson. And since then I’ve only averaged about one celebrity likeness sculpture a year with the exception of about 3-4 other sculptures; personal, non-work related sculptures. I’ve had 6 years of very slow growth due to lack of practice. To be honest, as much as I like doing these types of sculptures, I could try to be a little more proactive 😅 many more to come and hopefully I can surpass only one likeness a year 🥲 #likenesssculpture #likeness #portraits #portraitsculpture

So the other day I was on Pinterest and came across someone who did a manicure that was realistic long “natural” nails… I couldn’t stop thinking about it since I love all things realism when it comes to art. I haven’t painted anything in a long time including nails and although these are way too long for me to function, I had so much fun trying to paint these. They’re not perfection; some people will ew at them but some will think it’s just cool art. I only used three gel colors to create these - white, a macaroni yellow and black. All mixed with clear top coat to get that translucent feel in my layers. And also- it’s like totally spooky season, they kinda fit in 😉 and now that I have photos of them.. Form is fun in the sense of you can look at it at one angle and see certain shapes, then look at it at another angle to see something different.. but! They all come together to work as one. Form is something that I was told soo many times to get first before you start texturing and detailing. It’s a never ending battle with form for me and when I first started sculpting at all, I found myself trying to detail the second sit down no matter how far along I was. I’ve grown to love focusing just on forms, whether I’m right or wrong ahah, something about getting the shapes that I see is exciting. This sculpture is not done.. It’s close for me.. I could spend forever on something but of course the forms need more work in some areas and then I can finish it. So incredibly lucky to have been a part of the Terrifier team this past year into spring. We made some crazy shit happen over at @tinsleystudio and I couldn’t thank @tinsleymua enough for the trust and creative freedom he gave us during the build. Also thanks to @damien_leone for creating this crazy world that is Terrifier. You bet your ass I will be there at that theater when it comes out trying to score that terrifier popcorn bucket. 🍿 🤡 I had a blast with all the art I was able to partake in for this film and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as we enjoyed making it.
